This deployment option brings fibre connectivity to individual residential units either houses or apartments. It is most suitable for new build houses and small low-rise apartment blocks where the fibre or fibre ducting can be installed during building. Fiwave offers a Point to Point Ethernet solution for Fibre-to-the-Home delivering 1 Gb/s of bandwidth to each home. The solution utilises standard off-the-shelf components from established equipment vendors. The solution supports all required access network functionality such as QoS, user identification by physical port and multiple services per port. The solution consists of:

• Customer premises equipment (CPE) for fibre termination, remote management and demarcation located in the home
• Access network equipment for connecting all offices to the network (inc. metro ethernet switch)
• Passive equipment such as cables, splices, ODFs, patch cords, etc.

As part of our FTTH solution we would typically design and build the TV, data and voice services that run on the network.
